Therme Bucharest, Therme București in Romanian, is the largest indoor thermal complex in Europe: around 30,000 square metres under a glass dome at Balotești, ten minutes from Bucharest's Otopeni airport and half an hour from the city centre. Inside are ten thermal pools at 33 °C, sixteen water slides, six pools among some eight hundred real palm trees, a dozen themed saunas and a botanical garden: a water park, a spa and a tropical garden in one building, open every day of the year, snow outside included.

The basic ticket covers Galaxy; The Palm and Elysium need the upper-zones ticket, which includes Galaxy too. Under-14s are admitted to Galaxy only, with an adult.

The complex opens every day of the year, public holidays included, when weekend hours apply. Weekday mornings are the quietest time, Saturday afternoon the busiest. In winter the contrast between 33 °C water and snow on the glass is the reason many people choose December and January.
Getting there
Therme sits at Balotești on the main road to Ploiești, ten minutes by taxi from Henri Coandă airport and about thirty minutes from central Bucharest.
